Terms & Conditions

Seven Sisters Festival (“Festival”) is presented by Seven Sisters Family Trust (ABN 731 354 577 848) (“Organiser”).

 

Tickets, stall or contributor fees which are sold, gifted or allocated by the Festival on the express condition that the holder is bound to the following terms and conditions of sale and entry, which form part of the contract between Seven Sisters Festival, the purchaser and the ticket holder (referred to as the ‘holder’).

 

The Terms and Conditions of Sale and Entry include the following.

Please be aware these apply to all visitors – with and without a valid ticket – to the venue for the Festival.

REFUNDS:

  1. A change in personal circumstances (interest, medical, work or family related) of the holder does not entitle the return or exchange of the wristband.

  2. Tickets and other expenses associated with the festival will not be refunded in whole or in part under any circumstances including, but not limited to, ticket holders being asked or forced to leave, holders deciding not to attend any portion of the Festival, the possible non-appearance of any particular person, expected by the holder, whether advertised or not.

  3. Holders agree that Seven Sisters Festival, and their agents and servants, are not liable for acts of God, the weather, strikes, protests, fires, pandemics or actions taken by government agencies and similar causes beyond the reasonable control of Seven Sisters Festival and understand festivals and other expenses will not be refunded in whole or in part in these circumstances. Aspects including but not limited to programming, ticket price and capacity are subject to change at any time without notice. Seven Sisters Festival reserves the right to cancel or postpone the Festival for any reason.

  4. Any valid refunds will not include the booking fee.

  5. Holders should carefully consider the refund and cancellation policies of travel, accommodation and other goods or service providers when making arrangements for attendance at the Festival. Holders may also wish to consider taking out a relevant insurance policy to cover for any losses in the event of cancellation, rescheduling or relocation.

TERMS

The terms and conditions that apply to any particular transaction will be the published terms and conditions at the time the transaction was finalised. Subject to the preceding sentence, Seven Sisters Festival may alter or change the terms and conditions as they appear on our website from time to time, effective immediately upon posting to the website. The holder should periodically check the terms and conditions at: www.sevensistersfestival.com/terms

SELF CARE

By purchasing a ticket to Seven Sisters Festival the Holder agrees that:

  • I am fully responsible for my state of health, be it physical, mental, emotional and spiritual upon my arrival and throughout the Festival. 

  • I am responsible for choosing to attend workshops, presentations and engage in experiences that are of interest to me without knowing exactly what content will be delivered or how I may respond and/or react to this content.

  • I am responsible for my experience and how I respond and/or react to any such experiences during the Festival.

  • It is my responsibility to ask or call for support if I need it.

  • Holders acknowledge that they are physically able to participate in events and associated activities at the venue, and that they have not been advised otherwise by a qualified medical professional.

SERVICES:

Purchasers and holders accept that the internet, temporary mobile phone towers and other utilities are not always reliable and that system outages and interruptions may occur and this is not a cause for refund.

CLAIMS & COMPENSATION

To the full extent permitted by law, holders waive all legal rights of action (on behalf of themselves, their heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns) against and fully release Seven Sisters Festival, its agents, employees, contributors, members and volunteers for all claims for compensation for loss, damage, injury (including, but not limited to, bodily injury, mental anguish, emotional distress, sickness, disease), molestation (including, but not limited to, assault, interference, bullying, abuse) or death howsoever arising out of or in relation to the holder’s participation in the Festival. This includes, without limitation, liability for any negligent or tortious act or omission on the part of the persons released, or under statute or for breach of these terms and conditions.

WARNING: If the holder participates in these activities, the holder’s rights to sue the supplier under the Fair Trading Act 1999 if the holder is killed or injured because the activities were not supplied with due care and skill, or were not reasonably fit for their purpose, are excluded, restricted or modified in the way set out in or on this notice.

STALL HOLDER/ HEALER & READER COMMITMENT TICKET AGREEMENT PROCESS

Once an applicant has agreed to be involved and secured a ticket, no refunds will be issued. The ticket fee will cover the costs of cancellation and the subsequent involvement of administration staff, marketing staff, web admin staff, graphic design staff and talent management staff to amend timetable and marketing material.

Stall holder or reader or healer tickets cannot be on-sold and cannot arrange for another to take their position. 

PRESENTER/ TICKET AGREEMENT PROCESS:

Once a presenter has agreed to be involved and secured a ticket, no refunds will be issued. The ticket fee will cover the costs of cancellation and the subsequent involvement of administration staff, marketing staff, web admin staff, graphic design staff and talent management staff to amend timetable and marketing material.

Assistants will be refunded their ticket if their Presenter cancels.

Presenter tickets cannot be on-sold. Presenters cannot arrange for another to take their position.
